Message back and forth until you both feel good about the trade. No haggling over price — because there is no price.
Meet & trade
Meet somewhere public and friendly, make the swap, and rate each other afterward so the whole community knows who’s reliable.
Why no cash?
Money is efficient, but it’s also impersonal. When you pay a stranger and walk away, nothing is built between you. A trade is different. It requires a little trust, a little conversation, and a little generosity — and those are exactly the ingredients a resilient neighborhood is made of. Take cash out of the equation and what’s left is people relying on people. That reliance is the whole point.
What can I trade?
Almost anything legal and safe: physical goods, homegrown food, and skills or services like tutoring, repairs, yard work, and lessons. The only things off the table are listed in our Community Guidelines.
